Could you tell us a bit about who you are?
Im Marie, Im 25 yo, Im french and Im studying photography

Could you tell us a little bit about the story that you made for us?
I created blurry images; I imagined snippets of a love story with hands language. I wanted to create a romantic and mysterious atmosphere.

Why did you choose your studies?
Im definitely a visual person. It was a bit by chance. Now I know that I like create sets and I try to convey emotions through it. I’m also really passionate about cinema and painting.

I’m curious what drew you to the subjects that you photograph?
When i’m doing unthinking photography, my eye catch a light or an atmosphere that is special. It could be an empty space or someone...

What influences you in your work?
Cinema a lot, painting, books, conversations, classical music, flowers...

How would you describe your personal aesthetic and how does that manifest itself in your work/ photographs?
I don’t want to have only one aesthetic but I would say mysterious, sometimes strange, sober, quiet, sometimes cold, sometimes soft... I think it describe a part of my personnality and how I see what’s around me. Its an unconscious process.

Who are your icons?
Tarkovski, Lars Von Trier, Gus Van Sant, David Lynch, Céline Sciamma, Francis Bacon, and many more!

What (art) show or exhibition that you saw recently excited you the most and why?
I saw few days ago a graduation show of young painters and it excited me so much to see new technics of painting and contemporary subjects that may seem trivial but when its painted it become spectacular!

What are your dreams for the future?
I want to do so much, I want to continue photography, painting, film, I want to do music also. But I would like to develop my own visual langage, do my best and be proud of myself.
